Normally, I love takeout. I love not having to decide what to cook and I love just throwing all of the mess away when we are finished. I have to say, though, I am tired of driving somewhere every night to pick up dinner. All of our inspections have gone smoothly, without problems, until the day my husband went out of town for work.
The inspector found two issues. I appreciate that he flagged them (safety issues), but was also frustrated that I would not be whipping up anything quick for dinner-short of sandwiches. First off, the propane company set the tank, and must have forgotten their blocks for support, because the inspector found four puny little pavers (ours from the patio) supporting a 250 # tank.
Next issue? Of course a plumbing one. That in itself is a long one that I will spare you the details. No one should have to endure even hearing about it, let alone, live it. None of the piping was secured. The inspector grabbed it and about 20′ of line just moved. Of course, it’ s not the plumbers fault. (Insert eye roll).
I’m happy to say that notice of a failed inspection got everyone’s attention. They moved quickly…so, I should be cooking by tomorrow. Now, when I start complaining about cooking…I’m going to come back and read all about my pain with takeout!
Tonight, one last night of takeout. I’m going big. It might include a P and a F and a Chang’s. Have you ever gotten tired of takeout? Or would that be your dream dinner every night?!

Oh yes it seems like you can quickly get tired of take out when you aren’t able to use your kitchen. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that this New Year brings you lots of Gods blessings!!

Thankfully the failed inspection got everyone’s attention and we were able to use the stove the next day. Now we are working on completing the rest of the house. Thank you for the Christmas and New Years wishes! Happy New Year to you and your family as well!
