I didn’t want to do this, but we had to evict a tenant last night.
This Bark Scorpion was close to 2” when all stretched out.
This is what we found in the boys’ bathroom sink last night. It was huge! Obviously, he was well fed! I’m would really like to know where he came from. If he was living here all along, or hitched a ride on someone?
I’m happy to have creatures like these who eat the bad insects outside…just don’t want them living with me. So, yes, we evicted him. Or shall I say, Alan “treated” him to some hospitality. (Just so you know, Ant and Roach spray works on Scorpions too.)
Cool fact? Bark Scorpions glow under a blue light. Guess what we did after finding him? We went searching the rest of the house to make sure he didn’t have any brothers or sisters!

It’s actually lots of fun to go “hunting” for them. They show up as a highlighter yellow color. Et me know what you think!
